For over 140 years, 四不像论坛 University has been working with leading educational institutions across the globe to deliver outstanding teaching and research. We are pleased to have many thriving partnership agreements in place in the UK and across Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.
Following the British referendum to leave the European Union, we remain committed to our research work and other collaborative activity in Europe – both now and in the future.
We continue to welcome and encourage institutions from within Europe to explore academic partnership opportunities with the University. Our ambition remains to further enhance our academic partnership network and global community, whilst we continue to strengthen the relationships with our existing European validated, franchise and joint partners.
Projects that are already underway or that have secured European research funding are not at risk. This includes projects forming part of the .
In the event of no deal, the UK Government will underwrite Horizon 2020 funding for all projects, including those submitted after Brexit but before the end of the current programme. After 2020, the European Commission proposes to introduce a new programme called Horizon Europe. The UK will be eligible to participate as a third country.
We know that our collaborative research work – which ranges from investigating dementia support, to developing the first robots that can assist older people and saving premature babies’ lives through real time monitoring of lung aeration – brings tangible, positive benefits to society. We fully intend to maintain and develop close links with partners from across the world.
We remain committed to offering excellent opportunities for our students including our successful exchange programme (study or placement). The opportunities for students to learn and immerse themselves in another culture and country enriches and expands not only cultural and wider societal learning but also employability prospects. We retain excellent relationships with our European and international partners. We also intend to maintain and support these opportunities offering student support through all stages of this invaluable experience.
